James Welsh

The master of written persuasion and dynamic structure

James is a qualified barrister and a Professor of Legal Education/Training. He is an expert in the art of persuasion and dynamic speech writing and sees it as a teachable and transferable set of techniques.

As a barrister, he has addressed judges and juries in courts around the country on a daily basis seeking to persuade in ‘high stakes’ environments. In that role he has addressed audiences from criminal clients in cells to the judges in the Court of Appeal.

He has worked with thousands of lawyers, including those at the top global law firms. Combining his skills, he has worked nationally and internationally on communication and persuasion, with a variety of individuals and organisations, extending increasingly out of law and into other sectors. He was awarded a Professorial Seat in 2018.
